Rabbits
It's Monday morning. A new month. A time I typically savor. Doing laundry, dishes, catching up on emails. A window in between events to plan, procrastinate, or just bake a pie (like I'm really going to get to that today). I spent this past weekend up in Lake George assisting my friend Taylor on an absolutely beautiful wedding on the most amazing family estate overlooking that pretty lake. We all wanted to move there. The vibe is so laid back and gorgeous and the town is full of diner food. Serious plus.
Back in the city and excited for the city Fall. It's been a pretty fulfilling summer. Lots of interesting and beautiful jobs. So many wonderful clients. So many incredible flower friends. I could talk about each one for pages upon pages.
One of those friends - the wonderful Sarah was up at her farm a couple weeks ago and so she sent this little shoot my way for Stone Fox Bride.

california
I took a pilgrimage to california in July to inspect some incredible Cali flower bounty in person. It was a pretty great time. I drove south to Half Moon Bay and poked around a half abandoned nursery. I went to the SF flower market at 4:30 in the morning and met people who I had only known through my phone and computer. I drove north to the wine country to see the most amazing clematis farm, chat with the very dedicated and sweet head farmer, followed by some wine drinking in the Sonoma hills. It was stupid fun.

crowded
It's been a crowded month. Crowded is my new word for busy. Apologies for neglecting this 'ol blog. I moved apartments. And I misplaced everything. Including the cord that connects my camera to my computer. Whoops. There's A LOT to talk about, but I'll start with a few photos and will fill in the rest when I've actually rested.

trains and keys
I'm writing this blog post instead of finalizing orders for some upcoming weddings. This is rather stupid. Sometimes I need to get some of the "other" work out of the way before I can dive in. Warm up work? Maybe. I don't know.
In the last 24 hours I managed to leave a folder of incredibly important documents on top of a parking meter at a train station. Then this morning I completely lost my car keys. No, I did not misplace them. Lost. Haven't found 'em. Documents? Found.
Barely caught the above mentioned train only to realize the error of my ways. 50 bucks and 45 minutes later, I was back where I started. Documents in hand. Sheepishly walked to my car to drive instead of train it back to the city. (Is Mercury in retrograde?) The lesson I learned? I need to slowwwww it on down. Take a real day totally off. Stop editing photos and go to the movies.
What's playing?

the berks
Let's clear something up. The Berkshires are in Massachusetts. You may not know this because people don't seem to know this. But they are not in NY or CT, they are in MA - east of the hudson river and the catskills. It's amazing how much natural beauty is within a 3 hour drive from big city life. The Berkshires are incredibly gorgeous. Like freak you out pretty. The air is so fresh and crisp and clean. 5 minutes outside in that clean, fresh air and I felt vastly healthier. Wished I had brought my yoga mat and was dreaming up quinoa recipes. No joke.
